Not all operating experience is the same.
We’re looking for experienced Civil Plant Operators who understand levels, tolerances, material behaviour and how their work fits into the overall construction sequence. Multi-skilled operators with demonstrated civil experience will be highly regarded.
What you’ll be doing
- Completing bulk and detailed earthworks
- Constructing road formations, pavements, pads and batters
- Working accurately to levels? survey levels, stringlines and machine-control information

- Completing daily pre-starts and basic machine inspections
- Identifying faults and reporting maintenance requirements early
- Working productively with Supervisors, surveyors and ground crews
- Understanding the daily production plan and your role within it
- Maintaining protected separation from people, plant and operational facilities
- Taking responsibility for the quality of your work and the condition of your machine
What we're looking for
1. Demonstrated experience in earthworks, roadworks or pavement construction

4. The ability to work safely and productively without constant supervision
5. A willingness to assist the wider crew when required
6. A practical attitude and respect for plant and equipment
7. Flexibility to work across regional locations and project-specific rosters
8. Relevant tickets, licences and VOCs
What we're NOT looking for ❌ Operators whose experience is limited to repetitive mine production
❌ People focused only on accumulating machine hours
❌ Operators who ignore levels, tolerances or the next stage of construction
❌ Anyone who believes inspections and looking after the machine is someone else’s responsibility
❌ People who want to remain in the cab when the wider crew needs assistance
We drive into regional WA, stay in the towns where we work and operate rosters suited to each project and our people.
There are no permanent camp villages or guarantees that every project will follow the same roster. The locations, machines and construction challenges will change.
You’ll work in regional communities, alongside a close-knit civil team, and be able to see what your efforts helped build.
Why join WCP Civil
Because we offer more than just a job. You'll work across a variety of civil construction projects throughout regional Western Australia, becoming part of the communities where we deliver our work. We operate flexible, project-specific rosters and value a healthy balance between work and family life. If you enjoy regional living, practical project delivery, and being part of a close-knit team, you'll feel right at home.
Plan the work. Know the numbers. Support the team. Own the outcome.
