The Opportunity We have a permanent, full-time opportunity for a Claims Officer within our Financial Lines claims team! This role is dedicated to ensuring the proficient handling of Financial Lines insurance claims, with a primary focus on delivering high-quality claims services to our valued stakeholders.

Your current role

- Proactively manage a diverse portfolio of financial claims end to end.
- Timely determination and documentation of policy coverage, liability, quantum, strategy and reserving in accordance with company policies, industry standards and applicable legislation.
- Managing claims using the appropriate external and internal specialists to achieve effective and efficient settlement outcomes.
- A continuing improvement focus attitude towards implementation of new work practices and procedures, initiating and facilitating change and innovations.




- Ability to enhance and develop your own technical expertise and participate in professional development and training.
- Ensuring the delivery of the highest quality customer service and developing robust working relationships with all customers and service providers.
- Reporting in accordance with relevant company service standards and manuals.
- Collaborating with underwriting colleagues to optimise portfolio performance.

About You

- Financial lines or casualty/general liability claims experience is preferred.
- Legal background and/or qualifications
- Understanding of relevant industry legislation.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail alongside excellent analytical and technical skills
- Pro-active and energetic team player with the highest professional approach to all aspects of claims handling.
