Successful candidates will join a structured,



twelvemonth program specifically designed to give you the skills and experience you need to be a successful Assistant Category Manager The structured, twelve month program consists of on the job training, formal learning and 1:1 coaching.

We are seeking talent with the potential to grow into more senior buying roles who can help us bring our Fresh Food People ambition to life every day.

- Continuously develop alongside a buddy/coach/SMEs to hone your sales and negotiating skills, manage strategic initiatives, and deliver ambitious targets in sales growth, profitability, and market share.
- Partner cross functionally with diverse teams including finance, replenishment, sales activation, stores, and Cartology. Gaining a holistic understanding of the retail ecosystem.
- Build strong partnerships with external suppliers, bringing innovative ideas and negotiating key commercials to drive category growth in the category.
- Assist to deliver key strategic promotional campaigns that drive sales growth, profitability, and market share.
- Deep dive into customer trends and insights to deliver optimum product ranges and promotions that truly resonate with our customers.

Key Skills and Attributes:

- Strong financial acumen with the ability to leverage data and insights to drive sales and profitability.
- Excellent decision-making skills coupled with a high degree of learning agility.

capable of building strong internal and external relationships.
- A degree in a relevant field such as Finance, E-commerce, Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Retail Management, Statistics, Data Analytics, or Accounting.
- Proactive, results-driven mindset with robust prioritisation skills and an unwavering drive to deliver exceptional results.
