About the role

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and trustworthy cleaner to join our care services team.

The role is mainly focused on providing cleaning services in clients’ homes, including homes of elderly people and people living with disabilities. From time to time, the successful applicant may also provide basic assistance and support to elderly clients when required.

Cleaning will be the main responsibility of this position.

Key responsibilities

- General cleaning of clients’ homes
- Vacuuming, mopping, dusting and wiping surfaces
- Cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and living areas
- Laundry and changing bed linen when required
- Keeping clients’ homes clean, tidy and hygienic
- Following cleaning instructions and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness
- Occasionally providing basic assistance to elderly clients when required
- Assisting clients with simple day-to-day tasks where appropriate
- Communicating respectfully and professionally with clients
- Maintaining client privacy and confidentiality
- Following workplace health, safety and hygiene procedures
- Reporting any concerns or issues to the appropriate supervisor

About you The ideal applicant will be:
- Experienced in residential or qualified cleaning
- Reliable, punctual and trustworthy
- Hardworking and takes pride in their work
- Friendly, respectful and compassionate
- Comfortable working independently in clients’ homes




- Able to communicate respectfully with elderly clients
- Organised and pays attention to detail
- Physically capable of completing general cleaning duties
- Experience working with elderly people is preferred but not essential
- Experience in disability or community support is an advantage

What we are looking for We are preferably looking for someone with previous cleaning experience, particularly someone who takes pride in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.

While the position is mainly cleaning, there may occasionally be opportunities to assist and support elderly clients with basic day-to-day needs.
