The Role

Are you a hands-on leader who takes pride in a job well done? Do you have the energy, organisation and people skills to keep a cleaning team motivated and a retail site looking its best? We’re looking for an enthusiastic Cleaning Supervisor to join our team at our retail site in Newmarket. You’ll play a key role in leading the onsite cleaning team, maintaining exceptional presentation standards and ensuring daily operations run smoothly.

Roster: Monday to Friday, 6:30am – 2:36pm

This position is paid in accordance with the Cleaning Services Award 2020.

What You'll Be Doing

- Lead, motivate and support a team of cleaning team members to deliver outstanding results
- Coordinate daily cleaning activities and ensure tasks are completed to the required standard
- Conduct regular inspections and maintain high cleaning and presentation standards across the site
- Provide on-the-job guidance, coaching and training to team members
- Monitor attendance, performance and adherence to site procedures
- Ensure chemicals, equipment and machinery are used safely and correctly
- Assist with stock control and ensure cleaning supplies are available when required
- Respond professionally to client and customer requests and help resolve issues
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure all work is completed in accordance with WHS requirements
- Work closely with the Site Manager and Assetlink management team to deliver excellent service

What We're Looking For





- Previous experience in a cleaning supervisory or team leader role, preferably within a commercial, retail or shopping centre environment
- Strong leadership and people-management skills
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to lead by example
- Good knowledge of commercial cleaning practices, chemicals and equipment
- Experience using cleaning machinery such as scrubbers, buffers or sweepers is highly regarded
- Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering high standards
- A commitment to workplace health and safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written English
- Must have valid work rights in Australia
