Clinical Lead - Registered Nurse
Temp to Perm | Immediate Start
This is a genuinely exciting career opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse ready to take the next step into a broader clinical leadership role.
Our client is a successful, growing national care organisation currently experiencing significant growth across South Australia. As part of this growth, they are looking for a Clinical Lead to join their team on an immediate-start, temp-to-perm basis.
This is a role where no two days will be the same. The Clinical Lead will be the go to person for RNs and ENs who are placed in Community services settings. They will be responsible for leading frontline clinical practice across community based care ensuring care delivery aligns with professional standards and regulatory requirements.
The role provides day-to-day leadership to Registered and Enrolled Nurses across care services, setting lear expectations for clinical practice and supporting consistent, safe care delivery. It maintains visibility of clinical performance, reinforcing accountability and addressing risks or gaps in practice as they arise.
The role
Working across clinical practice and operations, you will:
- Lead, support and coach a team of RNs and ENs across aged care and community nursing, police & school nurses.
- Provide guidance around complex care needs and clinical decision-making
- Monitor clinical practice and identify areas requiring additional support or intervention
- Work closely with operational teams to ensure continuity and coordination of care
- Support clinical governance, quality, compliance and risk management
- Manage and escalate clinical incidents and risks appropriately
- Drive improvements in clinical practice, documentation and service quality
- Build capability and confidence across the nursing workforce.
There is a strong people leadership element to this position. You will be expected to coach and develop nurses, identify capability gaps and create accountability for high-quality clinical practice.
About you
We are looking for someone who is clinically strong but, equally importantly, enjoys working with people and solving problems.
You will need:
- Current Registered Nurse registration with AHPRA
- Tertiary qualification in Nursing
- Robust clinical judgement and confidence supporting other nurses
- Experience leading, mentoring or supervising clinical staff
- Good understanding of clinical governance, risk and compliance
- The ability to work in a fast-moving environment where priorities can change quickly
- A practical, hands-on approach and strong communication skills
- Current driver's licence and relevant worker clearances, or willingness to obtain them.
