Deliver evidence-based nutrition care across inpatient and outpatient services, supporting patients through assessment, nutrition support, education and dietetic counselling.

Remuneration: $79,419 – $113,301 per annum

Hours Per Week: 38

Location: Blacktown & Mt Druitt Hospitals

Join the Nutrition and Dietetics team across Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospitals, providing patient-centred care in a dynamic health service environment. You will work closely with medical, nursing and allied health professionals to support positive health outcomes across the continuum of care.

What You'll Be Doing As a Clinical Dietitian, you will provide high quality nutrition and dietetic services to patients, using your clinical expertise to develop individualised nutrition care and support positive outcomes.

- Provide nutritional assessment, therapeutic diet advice, nutrition support and counselling




- Deliver individual and group-based nutrition education to patients and consumers
- Collaborate with medical, nursing and allied health teams to coordinate patient care
- Provide clinical supervision and support to Dietitian Assistants and students
- Contribute to quality improvement, research, education and the development of patient resources

Essential Criteria

- Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Nutrition and Dietetics, acceptable to the membership of the Dietitians' Association of Australia (DAA).

Selection Criteria

- Up-to-date knowledge and skills in dietetic practice.
- Well-developed written, verbal and non-verbal communication skills, effective time management and ability to prioritise workload.
- Able to work as an effective team member as well as work independently, including flexibility and adaptability to work across facility sites to meet service needs.
- Good computer skills, including experience using CBORD Diet Office System and Cerner eMR or equivalent.




- Previous experience as a Clinical Dietitian in a broad range of inpatient and outpatient setting.
- Demonstrated understanding and application of quality improvement principles.
- Ability to work a rotating roster, including weekends, public holidays and on call, if required.
