The position of Junior Clinical Project Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the AIICF Respiratory Research Nursing Team, ensuring research activities are delivered in alignment with organisational priorities, professional standards and governance requirements. The role demonstrates clinical expertise and understanding applied through operational management, exercising a high degree of independence and providing advice and direction to staff.

The Junior Clinical Project

Manager contributes to the strategic direction of the service, aligns the team towards a shared vision, and ensures quality outcomes through effective leadership, communication and resource management.

About The Team The Airway Infections, Inflammation and Cystic Fibrosis (AIICF) Research Group is focused on the assessment and evolution of early lung diseases and the development of evidence-based management, particularly in cystic fibrosis, acute viral bronchiolitis, ataxia telangiectasia and asthma.

About The Role In this role you will coach and support others to deliver for children, young people and families (Leader of Others) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values.

Your Contribution Will Include

- Provide day-to-day operational management of a small team, exercising independent judgement in planning, prioritising and monitoring service delivery and being accountable for operational performance.
- Provide high-level clinical and operational leadership in the implementation of clinical trials, acting as a recognised reference point for multi-professional colleagues and stakeholders, and providing authoritative advice on research processes.
- Establish and maintain effective communication strategies with multidisciplinary teams, executive stakeholders, participants and external partners to support coordinated research delivery and engagement.
- Co-ordinate,



attend and apply problem solving skills to key research project milestones such as
- patient appointments to assist the principal investigators, staff and patients as per the research
- Apply advanced project, change and quality improvement skills to independently plan, prioritise and coordinate complex research activities and milestones in accordance with study protocols and service requirements.
- Promote and uphold patient advocacy, confidentiality and autonomy, including the independent application of informed consent processes and ethical research practice.
- Ensure research governance, legislative and regulatory compliance, maintaining oversight of clinical research documentation and independently identifying, managing and escalating clinical and research risks.
- Manage allocated human and material resources, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources and monitoring professional standards and quality outcomes.
- Contribute to strategic planning, service improvement and research development, including dissemination of findings and identification of opportunities for future research, funding and enhanced service delivery.
