About the role The Resource Coordinator is a key member of Nucleus Network’s Resourcing team, responsible for planning and coordinating staff allocations for clinical trial activities. This includes assigning appropriately trained staff to participant procedures such as dosing, observations, ECGs, blood collections and outpatient visits, ensuring studies are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with protocol requirements. Working closely with Clinical, Medical, Laboratory and Project Management teams, you will create and manage study rosters, allocate appropriately trained staff to protocol-specific procedures, and coordinate resources across multiple clinical trials. Your work will play a vital role in ensuring participant visits and study activities are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with protocol requirements and study timelines.
We're particularly interested in candidates who have experience coordinating people, schedules or resources within healthcare, clinical research or other fast-paced operational environments.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate staffing and resource requirements for clinical trial activities, ensuring study procedures are assigned to appropriately trained personnel.
- Translate clinical trial protocols and study schedules into detailed task allocations, assigning staff to participant procedures including dosing, observations, sample collections, ECGs and other protocol-required assessments.
- Develop and maintain rosters for Clinical Unit to ensure adequate coverage across screening, outpatient and inpatient study activities.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Study Coordinators and operational stakeholders to forecast study workloads and plan future resourcing requirements.
- Review staff competencies, training records and availability to ensure protocol activities are allocated appropriately and compliantly.
- Support day-to-day clinical operations by managing schedule changes, last-minute staffing requirements and operational priorities.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in a health, science or healthcare-related discipline.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to manage and interpret complex scheduling, workforce planning and resource allocation data.
- Robust organisational, planning and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy when managing schedules, rosters and study documentation.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
- A proactive, solution-focused mindset and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
