Locum Veterinary Nurse | Wacol, QLD | 6-Month Contract
Location: Wacol, QLD 4076
Role: Veterinary Nurse
Contract: 6 months
Start: ASAP
Hours: Ideally up to 4 days per week, with flexibility for the right candidate
Weekends: Not essential
Qualification: Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing required
Experience: Ideally 2+ years
A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced Veterinary Nurse looking for the consistency of a longer-term contract while maintaining some flexibility around their working week.
The team in Wacol is looking for a qualified Veterinary Nurse to join them on a six-month contract , ideally working up to four days per week.
There is flexibility around the number of days for the right person, so if you’re interested but can only offer two or three days per week, I’d still love to hear from you.
The Role
During your first month or so, you’ll predominantly work day shifts while you’re trained, onboarded and given the opportunity to become familiar with the team and processes.
Once settled into the role, there is the opportunity to work across a broader range of shift patterns, including:
- Day shifts
- Afternoon shifts
- Evening shifts | 3:00pm – 12:00am
- Overnight shifts | 11:00pm – 7:00am
The current requirement is predominantly across weekdays , so weekend availability is not essential.
Ideally, they would love someone who can offer some flexibility across the different shift patterns once fully onboarded, although this can be discussed based on your individual availability.
What They’re Looking For
To be considered, you will need to hold a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing .
Ideally, you will also have:
- A minimum of approximately 2 years of veterinary nursing experience
- Confidence working within a busy veterinary environment
- Robust communication and teamwork skills
- Availability to commence ASAP
- Availability for up to 4 days per week, although fewer days may be considered
- Some flexibility across different shift patterns once trained and onboarded
