Job Summary

Position :

Title: Cloudera Administrator

Location: Sydney

Job Type: 6 Months Contract Role

Essential Functions of The Job

We are looking for Cloudera Administrator for a contract of 6 months role based out of Sydney.

Qualifications Basic

Bachelor's degree or equivalent required from an accredited institution.

- Monitor performance and ensure that the cluster's resources are used efficiently

- Ensure the cluster is secured and meets backup and resiliency requirements

- Provide technical support and guidance to users of the platform

- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues

- Deploy and configure new services to support new projects/initiatives





- Manage the underlying infrastructure of the cluster in AWS

- Work closely with data scientists and data engineers to ensure the smooth operation of the platform

- Perform upgrade of Cloudera as required

To excel in this role, you will have:

- 3+ years Hadoop administration experience (including at least 2 years on Cloudera)

- In depth knowledge of Spark, Hive and Impala

- Good knowledge of AWS (including EC2, S3 and EBS)

- Positive knowledge of Linux

- Good communication skills
