Parker Hannifin is the global leader in Motion and Control products. We are currently seeking the services of a CNC Machinist to work at our Manufacturing facility in Wodonga, North East Victoria.

As a trade qualified CNC Machinist, You will carry out daily manufacturing duties in a safe, professional and diligent manner to meet customer service, inventory and quality requirements.

As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for processing work orders and ensuring customer orders are completed in a timely and efficient manner through the setting and operation of CNC and manual machines.

You will also be responsible for completing relevant customer order paperwork, identifying and ordering tooling and consumables through appropriate channels, supporting the installation and development of efficient production practices, and ensuring daily, weekly and monthly equipment maintenance is completed. The role requires a strong focus on first time through quality, including completing first-off inspections, implementing applicable Quality Assurance procedures.

In addition, you will participate in team meetings, help identify and resolve production or QA issues, and ensure OH&S; standards are followed, with any potential hazards reported or addressed. You will also actively engage in 5S + Safety, HPT, Lean implementation and continuous process improvement.

To be successful in this position, you will have completed a Trade Qualified Machinist qualification or equivalent. You will have at least 5 years’ previous demonstrated experience in a fast paced, make to order manufacturing environment, with strong skills in metal cutting machinery, CNC setting and programming,



and experience using Fanuc and Okuma machine controllers.

You will demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn new tasks quickly, sound PC skills, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications to undertake CNC-ISO programming. A solid understanding of manufacturing and production principles, including safety and safe work practices, together with positive time management skills and the ability to multitask, will be essential.
