Career Employment Group Inc is seeking applications for a full time Commercial Cookery Trainee to work with our valued Host Employer in Inglewood.

This is an exciting opportunity to start your career in the hospitality industry while completing a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and gaining valuable practical experience in a commercial kitchen setting.

As a trainee, you will develop your skills and knowledge in commercial cookery while learning from experienced industry professionals. You’ll develop a solid foundation in culinary techniques while learning how to work efficiently and effectively in a busy team environment. You may also undertake the following:

- Preparing dishes using basic cookery methods
- Preparing vegetable, fruit, egg and farinaceous dishes
- Cleaning kitchen premises and maintaining equipment in line with WHS requirements




- Planning and costing basic menus
- Working effectively and collaboratively in a fast-paced kitchen setting

Position Requirements

- A willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Be punctual and have a good work ethic
- Be able to use initiative and work well in a team
- Have the ability to handle fast-paced services
- Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment medical
