Commercial Manager – Project Delivery

Your Role

As a Commercial Manager – Project Delivery, you’ll be a key member of the Commercial & Contracts Team, providing commercial leadership and assurance across major delivery contracts, third-party agreements and stakeholder arrangements. You’ll help ensure contractual compliance, manage commercial risk and provide strategic commercial insight to support successful project delivery.

You’ll

- Support day-to-day commercial management, governance and assurance across major project delivery contracts and ancillary contracts.
- Support the administration and commercial performance of major delivery contracts, including ITC and EPC arrangements, ensuring alignment with contractual obligations and governance requirements.
- Provide strategic contractual and commercial advice to project delivery teams to maximise contract value and support effective project outcomes.
- Lead and coordinate commercial aspects of interfaces between multiple package contractors, including commercial risk mitigation initiatives.
- Lead the assessment and analysis of claims, changes, delay events and interface disputes, supporting effective negotiation and resolution.
- Provide forward-looking commercial insight, risk intelligence and recommendations to support strategic commercial decisions.
- Develop briefing materials for internal and key stakeholder approvals, including financier approvals, relating to contract changes and claims.
- Work collaboratively with Project Controls, Legal, Procurement and Finance to align contractual obligations, project reporting and governance.
- Monitor commercial, contractual, financial, operational, reputational and supply chain risks, ensuring emerging issues are identified and addressed early.
- Oversee and support compliance with key contractual requirements, including notice provisions, reporting obligations,



security instruments, insurances and contractual risk ownership.
- Maintain audit-ready commercial documentation and ensure clear traceability of entitlement, evidence and approval pathways.
- Represent Marinus Link’s commercial interests in contractor negotiations, package interface forums and other stakeholder engagements.
- Promote a collaborative, fair and continuous improvement culture across the project.

You’ll Need

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Law, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a similar technical or commercial discipline. Relevant postgraduate qualifications are desirable.
- 10+ years’ experience working with a head contractor and/or client-side organisation delivering construction projects.

- Demonstrated success in a Commercial leadership role within a Tier 1 or Tier 2 head contractor or client-side project delivery environment in the energy or linear infrastructure sectors.
- Proven experience managing multi-package delivery environments, ideally including ITC, D&C; and/or EPC delivery models.
- Strong experience managing complex contractual interfaces and resolving commercial issues across interdependent contracts.
- Proven experience leading entitlement assessments and claims analysis, together with strong contract interpretation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate commercial outcomes using evidence-based commercial reasoning.
- Comprehensive knowledge of commercial management and governance requirements within major infrastructure projects and regulated environments.
- Experience in project cost control, cost management and project performance reporting.
- An understanding of project financing and associated reporting obligations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to understand and clearly articulate contractual rights and positions.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience using Document Management Systems and specialised project software such as InEight,



TeamBinder or similar Electronic Document and Records Management Systems.
- Experience in ITC and EPC contract management and an understanding of the regulatory framework relevant to Marinus Link are highly desirable.
- A high level of computer literacy, including experience with relevant document management and project systems.
