KNC is looking for dedicated and friendly registered nurses and enrolled nurses to carry out aged care community nursing assessments. KNC is a not-for-profit aged care organisation based in St Ives, Sydney. Key duties would be
- Carrying out nursing assessments
- Effectively communicating with clients, carers, care workers and family regarding the client’s care
- Consulting with other professionals, including GPs, care partners, and allied health practitioners
- Keeping up to date and comprehensive progress notes and records of your nursing visits
- Making visits to aged care clients’ own homes to provide wound care,
medication and clinical advice
- Developing and implementing personalised care plans
- Providing compassionate and understanding care for client and be respectful of their stated wishes to maintain a compassionate, person-centred experience for client.
- Providing first aid if required
Relevant Skills and Experience:
- At least 6 months experience as a nurse
- Ability to work independently and solid decision-making skills
- Ability to use technology and software to record case notes and schedule visits
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Strong administration and time-management skills
Necessary:
- Current AHPRA registration
- A valid Australian drivers licence
- Own car – insured, registered and roadworthy
- Professional Indemnity Insurance
