- 2 years fulltime contract

- Salary Band – 4 with the commencing salary $87,700 per annum plus superannuation of 12%

KEY OUTCOMES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Support the appointment, administration and performance monitoring of Administrators and Investigators appointed to LALCs, ensuring activities are undertaken in accordance with statutory obligations and in collaboration with relevant Zone Directors.
- Assist with the issuing and monitoring of Performance Improvement Orders, including those supported by Advisors appointed to LALCs, ensuring processes are undertaken with relevant Zone Directors and in accordance with statutory requirements.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, including the Information Technology Unit, to maintain processes, portals and reporting systems that support monitoring of LALC compliance, governance and performance.
- Work with the Lead Complaints Handling and Compliance Officer to maintain and manage the LALC Compliance and Funding portal and related processes, ensuring compliance risks are identified, recorded and addressed effectively.
- Contribute to the review, monitoring and continuous improvement of PQI operational practices, processes and procedures.
- Assist with the development of quality assurance and evaluation frameworks, tools and methodologies for Community Benefit Schemes, interventions, reports, grants and other matters requiring NSWALC regulatory approval or registration.
- Undertake quality assurance of Community Benefit Scheme applications to support accurate, consistent assessments that align with legislative, policy and procedural requirements.
- Assist with the evaluation of LALC financial statements and annual budgets, and identify and report material variances, financial risks and other issues requiring attention.
- Assist with the development and use of systems and methodologies to monitor, analyse and report on LALC regulatory compliance and financial performance for the Minister, NSWALC Council, Executive and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare and issue compliance reminders to LALCs, in liaison with the Lead Complaints Handling and Compliance Officer, to support timely submission of required information and adherence to legislative, policy and procedural requirements.
- Review monthly and annual LALC debt to NSWALC in accordance with relevant debt management policies, including preparing debt statements and reminders to support accurate monitoring, reporting and follow-up of outstanding amounts.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
- Knowledge and understanding of issues affecting Aboriginal communities, societies and cultures in NSW.
- Demonstrated experience interpreting and applying legislation, preferably legislation relating to Aboriginal people and communities.
- Strong interpersonal, influencing and written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, including financial analysis and evaluation with the ability to work strategically, constructively and innovatively.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently to meet deadlines.
- Sound project coordination, organisational and time management skills.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including the ability to analyse data and produce clear reports, graphs and charts.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in financial accounting functions relevant to compliance monitoring and evaluation, including the ability to review financial statements, budgets, audit reports and financial data.
- Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar systems to manage compliance and regulatory information, monitor assessments, maintain accurate records, analyse data and support reporting requirements.
