Kearney’s Concrete Testing (KCT) is growing, and we’re looking for reliable, motivated people to join our team as Concrete Testers.

You don’t need concrete testing or laboratory experience.

If you have a current Australian driver’s licence, a strong work ethic and are willing to learn, we’ll provide the training you need to build a career in the construction materials testing industry.

WHAT YOU’LL GET

- $80,000–$100,000 per year depending on experience and overtime
- Company vehicle provided
- Paid overtime available
- Full paid training — no previous testing experience required
- Certificate III & IV in Laboratory Operations fully funded if you choose to complete them
- Uniforms, PPE and testing equipment supplied

WHAT DOES A CONCRETE TESTER ACTUALLY DO? This is a mobile, hands-on role — not a job where you’ll be sitting behind a desk all day.

You’ll travel between construction sites throughout your allocated area, working with builders, concrete suppliers, supervisors and project managers to help ensure concrete meets required standards.

Your day may include

- Travelling between construction sites
- Testing fresh concrete for strength, durability and compliance
- Recording test results using KCT systems
- Communicating with site supervisors, builders and concrete suppliers




- Transporting concrete specimens to our holding facility or Yatala laboratory
- Looking after your testing equipment and company vehicle
- Following safety procedures and KCT testing requirements

Every day is different, and you'll spend much of your time working independently out on the road while still being supported by the wider KCT team. WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Experience isn't the most important thing to us.

We’re looking for people who are dependable, willing to learn and take pride in doing a job properly.

You could be a excellent fit if you:

- Hold a current Australian driver’s licence
- Are reliable and punctual
- Have a positive, can-do attitude
- Enjoy working outdoors and travelling between different locations
- Are comfortable working independently
- Have good attention to detail
- Can follow procedures accurately

- Want a long-term career, not just another short-term job

Previous concrete testing or construction experience is welcome, but it is not essential. COMING FROM ANOTHER INDUSTRY?

Don't assume you need laboratory experience to apply.

This role may suit people currently working in construction, labouring, warehousing, deliveries, logistics, landscaping, manufacturing or other hands-on roles who want to move into a technical construction career.
