Role Description The Construction Manager – Residential will oversee the planning, coordination, and delivery of residential construction projects from pre-start through completion. This full time, hybrid role is based in Brisbane, QLD, with a mix of on-site presence, office work and some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing project schedules and budgets, supervising site teams and subcontractors, and ensuring quality workmanship that aligns with Maaken’s standards and client expectations.
The role involves coordinating with builders,
suppliers, and internal stakeholders, monitoring compliance with safety regulations and building codes, and resolving construction issues in a timely manner.
The Construction
Manager will also contribute to continuous improvement of processes, mentor site staff, and support the implementation of new technologies and systems to enhance project efficiency.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Communication skills to collaborate effectively with builders, clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Candidates should possess People Management and Training skills to lead site teams, coach staff, and manage subcontractor performance.
- Candidates should possess Residential and construction project experience, particularly in managing residential developments.
- Candidates should possess Budgeting and cost-control skills to manage project financials, forecasts, and resource allocation.
- Relevant qualifications in construction management, building, engineering, or a related field are highly desirable.
- Sound knowledge of Australian building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards is crucial
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-volume construction environments and familiarity with project management software will be advantageous.
- Comfortable with technology and using multiple systems and a willingness to learn different software
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to multiple project sites around SEQ and surrounding areas
