Silverstone Surveys is growing its field team and is looking for an experienced Engineering/Construction Surveyor to join us on a range of exciting civil, electrical and mining infrastructure projects across Western Australia.
If you enjoy being out in the field, working alongside construction teams and seeing your survey work translate into real infrastructure, this is a role where no two projects are quite the same.
You’ll work across projects for established contractors providing critical survey support from initial set-out through to completion and as-constructed works.
This is a genuinely varied role, with exposure to a broad range of construction activities including:
- Civil works, bulk earthworks and infrastructure
- Underground services, trenches and conduit installations
- HDPE pipelines, steel spools, pipe burials and culverts
- Electrical infrastructure, cable pits and transformer installations
- Structural and concrete set-out
- Establishing, checking and maintaining survey control
- Construction set-out and detailed field surveying
- As-constructed surveys and as-built information
- Reviewing drawings and survey data prior to heading into the field
- Working closely with engineers, supervisors and construction crews
- Maintaining accurate field records and completing daily reporting
We're looking for a surveyor who is confident in the field,
takes pride in the accuracy of their work and can operate independently while working collaboratively with the wider construction team.
Essential Criteria
- A surveying qualification or strong relevant industry experience
- Previous civil, engineering or construction surveying experience
- Solid experience with construction set-out and as-constructed surveying
- A good understanding of survey control, verification and quality assurance
- Experience using Leica Total Stations and GNSS equipment
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify issues before they become problems
- Good communication skills and the confidence to liaise with site-based construction teams
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage changing priorities
- A current WA Driver’s Licence
- The ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
Ready for your next project? If you've built a solid foundation in engineering or construction surveying and you're looking for variety, responsibility and the prospect to work across some of WA's major infrastructure and mining projects, we'd like to hear from you. Apply now or contact Robyn Edwards for a confidential discussion about the opportunity on [08 6365 5416](tel:08 6365 5416).
