The Strategic Communications Branch plays a pivotal role in contributing to ACCC outcomes.
We help the ACCC tell its stories. We raise awareness of competition and anti-competitive behaviour and provide information to help Australian consumers and business understand their rights and responsibilities under Australian Consumer Law.
We help the agency achieve its strategic objectives with clear and effective communication in the media and through channels. We work collaboratively with internal business partners on strategic, integrated communications, bringing together our many skillsets and disciplines to design and deliver effective communication solutions.
The Web Team in the Strategic Communications Branch is responsible for website content and governance. We have expertise in content design, website standards, and managing platforms, which includes ACCC websites (ACCC, ACCC Product Safety, Scamwatch) and a newsletter, consultation and website governance platform.
We advocate for users and work to provide them with a positive experience. We design, edit and publish website content making sure it meets style, accessibility, and readability standards and is focused on meeting user needs. We’re informed by evidence and employ best practice when providing expert guidance and making decisions on content and communication.
The Strategic Communications Branch also has a media team, a campaign, design and social media team, corporate communications, events, and strategic design team. We are creative, collegiate and committed to delivering meaningful outcomes for the agency and the Australian public.
