Job Description

Company/role:

- Food/beverage manufacturing company
- Based in the inner Western suburbs of Melbourne
- Seeking an experienced Food Technologist to cover maternity leave
- Casual contract till mid December 2026 (4 months)
- Fulltime hours, Monday - Friday
- Immediate start
- Working Holiday Visas are strongly encouraged to apply

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist with new product development and product improvement projects
- Conduct factory and laboratory trials
- Support product formulation and recipe development
- Analyse trial results and prepare technical reports
- Maintain accurate product specifications and documentationCollaborate with Quality, Production, and cross-functional teams




- Ensure products meet food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements

About You:

- Tertiary education in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, or a related discipline
- Must have prior experience as a Food Technologist in a manufacturing workplace
- Porven experience in product development and hands-on bench top experience
- Strong technical understanding of food science principles
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple priorities
- Available to commence immediately
