- Greet and interview potential donors to assess eligibility and suitability to donate
- Create a positive donor experience
- Conduct routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests
- Set up machines and collection equipment
- Safely insert and remove needles to collect whole blood, plasma and platelets
- Monitor donors post-donation
- Assist donors with rebooking their next donation
- Collaborate with the team to achieve collection targets
- Work across the Parramatta Donor Centre and Donor Mobile Unit

Requirements

- Proven customer-facing experience
- Passion for delivering an exceptional donor experience
- Comfortable with needles and blood/biological materials
- Ability to occasionally lift between 9-22.7 kg
- Ability to frequently stand,



walk and bend to set up and pack down machines and blood products
- Flexibility to work varied shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster from Monday to Sunday, including weekends and afternoon shifts
- Curiosity and motivation to learn the process of collecting blood and biological products
- No previous blood collection experience required

Demonstrates solid customer-facing skills and a passion for delivering exceptional donor experiences while ensuring safety and compliance in blood collection processes. Capable of operating collection equipment and performing routine health assessments.
