Cooranbong Public School is located on the traditional lands of the Awabakal people by Lake Macquarie. The school population includes 330 students, with 20% identifying as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and several EAL/D learners. The school has 14 mainstream classes and a Multi-Categorical support class, reflecting commitment to inclusive education.

4. Demonstrated capacity to lead an inclusive school culture that recognises and responds to the diverse academic, social, emotional, cultural and additional learning needs of students, while maintaining high expectations and equal opportunities for every student.
5. Demonstrated capacity to build authentic and sustained partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, families, community and the AECG to lead culturally responsive practices and strengthen Aboriginal education, identity, engagement and outcomes.

1. High level educational leadership with the skills to lead and manage a complex public school focused on the delivery of high quality education
2. Ability to lead and manage rigorous and inclusive whole school teaching and learning programs
3. High level communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build positive relationships and engage all levels of the school and educational community
4. Ability to lead and manage the development and performance of staff to improve teaching and learning
5. Ability to plan systems and manage resources effectively and equitably to enhance teaching and learning

Capacity to lead staff in implementing the Department's Aboriginal education policy and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people
