About Us Emerging Futures Cooperative Limited (EFCL) is a not-for-profit organisation, established to support and serve Religious Institutes in transition across Australia. These Religious Institutes are known as our Service Partners.

EFCL’s services include transition support, health and wellbeing coordination, administration, and community coordination. We provide these services while also honouring each Service Partner’s legacy and mission.

We are seeking a Coordinating Assistant to join our team to help support one of our Service Partners, the Sisters of Our Lady of Sion.

About the Role

You will assist the Sisters to remain connected with their community, as well as current and past ministries; and to remain informed and engaged in the life of the community, while respecting their independence, wishes and decision-making.

Using your outstanding organisation skills, and in collaboration with the Sisters, you will coordinate the planning and administration of Assemblies including agendas, logistics, minutes and follow-up actions.

Other responsibilities include initiating and coordinating the editing and publishing of the monthly newsletter; maintaining records and documentation; assisting the Sisters to access services, resources and external agencies as needed; and liaising with those supporting the Sisters to ensure services are coordinated and responsive.

About You

Your experience providing administration support, and skills in coordinating activities and services, are key to this role.

Just as important is your commitment to EFCL’s values of respect, integrity, collaboration, deep listening, and accountability, and respect for the charism of the Sisters of Our Lady of Sion.

Specifically, as the ideal candidate for this role, you will meet the following Key Requirements:

- Relevant qualifications or experience in administration, community services, aged care, pastoral administration or a related field
- Experience coordinating services or supporting communities, preferably within the not-for-profit or faith-based sector
- Strong organisational and administrative skills and ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to develop positive relationships and work collaboratively with others
- Genuine respect for the dignity, experience and independence of the elderly
- Sound judgement and demonstrated ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality
- Current, unrestricted driver’s license, access to a comprehensively insured and roadworthy motor vehicle, and willingness to travel to Sisters' locations and to attend meetings and Assemblies.

What’s on Offer?

- The opportunity to support those who have dedicated their lives to supporting others
- Work-life balance
- Attractive remuneration.
