Creche Assistant

About the role
While parents hit the gym, swim laps, join a group fitness class, or browse the library, you'll be the reason they can do it worry-free. We're looking for a bubbly, friendly, and responsible Creche Assistant who loves working with children at the Cannington and Riverton Leisureplex Crèche facilities.
We have multiple creche roles available with flexible shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and Saturdays.
Availability Required:
Mornings 8:00 am – 12:30 pm
Evenings 3:00pm – 7:30pm
Saturdays 8:00am – 12:15pm or 12:45pm – 5:15pm

- Engage with children aged 12 weeks to 8 years in a safe and fun environment.
- Create a fun, creative, and safe space, manage the creche booking system, sign children in/out, maintain a clean environment, and attend to parent enquiries.
- Assist children with creative activities and daily routines.
- Attend to children’s toiletry needs, including nappy changes.
- Casual, flexible hours on a rotating roster. Applicants must be available to work across both Riverton & Cannington Leisureplexes.
Who we’re looking for:
- Previous experience working in a children’s crèche or childcare centre
- Current Working with Children Check (your application must include your WWC number)
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current “C” class driver’s licence
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (or higher) is desirable
- Satisfactory National Police Clerance (within 6 months validity)
- A genuine passion for working with children and contributing to their development in a safe and engaging environment.
