Customer Growth and Acquisition Lead | Sydney

I'm partnering with a growing Sydney based technology business to find a Customer Growth and Acquisition Lead who can help build the next stage of its customer acquisition engine. This isn't a role where you'll spend your time creating brand campaigns, managing large agencies or producing marketing decks. It's a hands on growth role with a simple objective: Generate more qualified demand, more efficiently.

You'll have the freedom to look across the entire acquisition journey, identify opportunities and get experiments into market quickly.

Who are we looking for?

We're looking for someone who has learned by doing. You might currently be a Growth Marketing Manager, Growth Manager, Digital Growth Manager or a high-performing acquisition/performance expert ready for a much broader role.

You'll be able to show examples of things you've personally built, tested and improved.

You'll be someone who will look at a funnel and immediately want to know where people are dropping out. You question why one channel converts and another doesn't. You form a hypothesis, test it, look at the numbers and decide what to do next. That's the type of person we're looking for.

What might you actually be doing?

- Testing current acquisition channels and audiences
- Finding opportunities to improve conversion across the funnel
- Developing and launching growth experiments
- Finding better ways to nurture and reactivate existing leads
- Using data to understand what's working, and what isn't
- Exploring how AI is changing customer discovery and search
- Using AI to research, analyse, automate and execute faster
- Working across paid, organic, email, outbound, partnerships and emerging channels
- Measuring everything against commercial outcomes rather than vanity metrics





You'll also have some exposure to testing entirely new revenue ideas; taking an early hypothesis and helping work out whether there's a real business opportunity behind it.

More importantly, you'll be:

- Analytical in your approach, naturally think in funnels, conversion, CAC, CPL and commercial outcomes.
- Experimental with an instinct to test and make things happen.
- Utilisation of AI, ChatGPT, Claude and other AI tools are already embedded in how you work. Bonus points if you're experimenting with automation or AI assisted building as well.
- Are hands on and you're comfortable getting into the detail and doing whatever needs to be done to get something live.
- A commercial mindset - customers and revenue matter more to you than clicks, impressions and engagement.
- A curious thinker, you're constantly wondering whether there's a better way to do something.
- Ambitious and looking for a role where you can take on significantly more ownership as you prove yourself.

Experience across marketplaces, fintech, finance, SaaS, lead generation or another digitally-led growth business would be particularly relevant, but we're much more interested in what you've actually accomplished than having the perfect industry background.
