EXECUTIVE MANAGER DEVELOPMENT SERVICES
3 - 5 YEAR CONTRACT

The Shire of Dandaragan is seeking an experienced and strategic leader to join our Executive Management Team as Executive Manager Development Services. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this key leadership position is responsible for guiding the Shire's planning, building, environmental health, economic development and environmental management functions while playing a pivotal role in shaping the future growth and prosperity of our region.

About the Role

As a member of the senior executive team, you will provide strategic leadership across the Development Services Directorate and lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for:

- Strategic and statutory planning
- Building services
- Environmental projects and natural resource management
- Economic growth and investment attraction
- Development assessment and approvals
- Stakeholder and community engagement





You will provide expert advice to Council and the CEO on planning, development, environmental and economic growth matters, ensuring the Shire remains well-positioned to support future opportunities and community aspirations.

About You

To be successful, you will bring:

- Significant experience in statutory planning, development assessment or a related discipline
- Demonstrated leadership experience within local government or a comparable environment
- Solid knowledge of Western Australian planning and development legislation and processes
- Proven ability to manage budgets, projects and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation and communication skills
- Experience providing high-level strategic advice to executive leadership and elected members
