Position : Data Engineer

Location: Sydney/Melbourne

Job Type: 6 Months Contract Role

Essential Functions of The Job

We are looking for Data Engineerfor a contract of 6 months role based out of Sydney.

Qualifications Basic

Bachelor's degree or equivalent required from an accredited institution.

Skills and Responsibilities

- Developer with experience working with Java or Scala as a programming language. Spark, big data technologies, Cloudera, AWS

- Data preparation: acquire and deliver data in a format that can be easily analysed and supports reporting needs





- Build processes to move data between systems and platforms (extract, transform, load).

- Provide support for business user development of data workflows, reports and dashboards

- Deliver products that meet architectural, technical, security and data access standards

- Unit test components to ensure deliverables meet acceptable quality metrics (e.g. functional, non-functional and operational support requirements)
