We are partnering with a leading enterprise organisation to engage experienced Data Modellers & Analysts to join a high-performing data and information management program. This opportunity will suit professionals with solid expertise in data modelling, data analysis, metadata management, and data governance who enjoy working on large-scale enterprise data initiatives.
About the Role
You will be responsible for analysing complex data environments, developing conceptual, logical and physical data models, and working closely with business and technical stakeholders to deliver high-quality information management solutions. The role will involve translating business requirements into robust data structures, conducting data analysis and profiling activities, and supporting enterprise-wide data governance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop conceptual, logical (ERD) and physical data models.
- Analyse current data landscapes and future business requirements to produce detailed logical data models.
- Facilitate data model reviews with business and technical stakeholders.
- Create UML artefacts including class, activity, sequence, component and package diagrams.
- Analyse source systems, database structures, schemas, relationships, keys and indexing strategies.
- Perform data profiling and data quality assessments to determine fitness for purpose.
- Develop source-to-target mappings and document data lineage.
- Work closely with SMEs to identify data transformation requirements, gaps and improvements.
- Maintain metadata standards and support data governance practices.
- Contribute to large-scale information management,
governance and analytics initiatives.
Skills & Experience To be successful in this role, you will have:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in data modelling and data analysis.
- Solid capability in conceptual, logical and physical data modelling.
- Experience using enterprise data modelling tools and repository management solutions.
- Strong understanding of relational database systems including SQL Server and Oracle.
- Experience working with cloud-based data platforms and AWS environments.
- Strong SQL skills and experience performing data profiling and data quality analysis.
- Knowledge of metadata management, data catalogues and business glossaries.
- Experience with data mapping, transformation and source-to-target lineage documentation.
- Understanding of data governance frameworks, processes and technologies.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- 10+ years' overall IT industry experience highly regarded.
