Right now, our Supply data operations draw from a variety of pipelines and platforms, without a single source of truth. We're changing that, and we need someone to lead it.

We're looking for a Data Lead to take ownership of this transformation: consolidating today's varied data operations into one governed data platform built on modern cloud data engineering foundations, and setting up the next generation of data-driven, AI-enabled decision making.

What you'll do

- Lead and mentor a small data engineering team, onshore and offshore
- Own migration from today's fragmented data operations to a single, modern data platform
- Run a structured, recurring prioritisation process to balance competing data demands against platform capacity
- Own data modelling for our domains - designing master and reference data models other teams can build on with confidence
- Partner with other data teams across the business to find sharing and reuse opportunities rather than duplicating effort
- Manage cost and spend within an agreed platform budget
- Bring genuine curiosity for AI-assisted monitoring and operations tooling, helping run a lean, low-toil, trustworthy platform as it scales

What we're looking for

- 10+ years' data engineering experience, including leading a team across onshore/offshore locations




- Enterprise-scale cloud data platform experience (Databricks/Azure or equivalent)
- Comfort operating in a shared, multi-tenant platform environment, including negotiating boundaries with another platform team
- Strong data modelling background - master data, reference data, canonical entities
- Confident stakeholder manager, comfortable running prioritisation and triage conversations
- Genuine interest in applying AI to data operations - actively using it, not just aware of it
