Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Technical Capability Analyst to support a major Defence acquisition project. The successful candidate will work closely with Capability Sponsor staff to develop key capability and acquisition documentation, ensuring alignment with the Defence Capability System (DCS), reviewing and collaborating on documentation generated by CASG as a supporting Delivery Agency, and facilitating capability traceability across the Development and Acquisition Phases of the DCS. This role is pivotal in supporting pre‑Gate 2 activities, shaping industry engagement, approach to market, and delivering new capability into service.

Essential Requirements

- Demonstrated experience in requirements / specification development (Mission and Support System) and project management within Defence capability environments.
- Experience working within CASG or other Defence acquisition organisations.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain DCS artefacts.
- Robust stakeholder engagement skills, including experience supporting ATM development and pre‑Gate 2 industry engagement.
- Background in Defence systems engineering.

Desirable Experience

- Experience in the development of Integrated Logistic Support Concepts
- Experience with FIC analysis and integration
- Experience in capability management
- Experience in the conduct of tender evaluation
