DATA OPERATING & DELIVERY LEAD

Melbourne | Hybrid | 14–18-week contract

Umbrella Club is seeking expressions of interest from senior Data Operating and Delivery practitioners for an upcoming engagement within a complex, regulated environment.

This role will lead the engagement across all phases, assessing the organisation’s current data and analytics ways of working and defining a practical Target Operating Model.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead current-state discovery and stakeholder workshops.
- Assess existing data and analytics delivery processes, governance and ways of working.
- Define the target Data Operating and Delivery Model.
- Establish governance structures, decision rights and delivery principles.
- Develop RACI models and a practical SOP framework.
- Coordinate recommendations across data, technology and security.
- Define phase gates and supporting acceptance criteria.
- Facilitate executive playbacks and communicate key recommendations.
- Ensure the proposed model is practical,



sustainable and suitable for ongoing operation.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

- At least 10 years’ experience across data, analytics or technology transformation.
- Demonstrated experience designing Data Operating Models or broader Target Operating Models.
- Solid understanding of data, technology and security governance.
- Experience developing RACI models, SOPs and decision-making frameworks.
- Excellent senior stakeholder facilitation and workshop leadership.
- Strong consulting, communication and executive presentation capability.
- Experience in government, regulatory or similarly complex environments would be highly regarded.

This is a senior consulting engagement requiring someone who can combine operating-model strategy with practical delivery experience.

Melbourne-based candidates are preferred, with hybrid working available. Some onsite attendance will be required.
