About our newly created role

Are you passionate about bridging the gap between innovation and manufacturing?

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineering & Industrialisation Manager to join our R&D; team and lead the successful transition of new products from development into production. Working closely with a highly skilled R&D; group, you will play a pivotal role in product industrialisation, manufacturing readiness and engineering leadership.

Key responsibilities

Lead the transfer of new products and design changes from Engineering into Manufacturing

Develop and execute industrialisation plans and ensure manufacturing readiness requirements are identified and implemented

Lead NPI activities from design release through to production implementation, including pilot builds,



validation activities and production ramp-up

Develop and maintain manufacturing processes, work instructions and production documentation

Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality and operational efficiency and lead process optimisation projects

Work with Purchasing and Supply Chain teams to support supplier selection, qualification and improvement initiatives

Ensure industrialisation activities comply with company quality requirements and support risk assessments, FMEA activities and validation requirements

Lead, coach and develop a small team of engineers and technical specialists

Manage industrialisation project budgets and engineering resources to ensure projects are delivered effectively and efficiently

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers and establish industrialisation standards, methodologies and best practices

About you

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or related discipline

Results focused with strong communication and organisational skills

Collaborative and respectful with a continuous improvement mindset

Innovative and practical problem solver with ability to influence across multiple functions

Ability to work autonomously while maintaining strong stakeholder engagement

Strong leadership, coaching and mentor capabilities

Postgraduate qualifications in Engineering or Manufacturing (desirable)





Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification (desirable)
