Job Summary

- Lead risk, resilience and emergency planning across a major public service department.

- Ongoing full-time role earning $142,790 - $191,084 per year, plus super.

About us

Corporate Strategy and Delivery (CSD) deliver essential corporate and enabling services that support the department to operate efficiently and effectively. Data, Performance and Governance (DPG) support the Chief Operating Officer by providing a strong evidence base to enable effective policy development, organisational management and the delivery of justice and community safety services in Victoria. The Assurance branch within DPG supports delivering the department's overarching governance and assurance framework, translating risk exposure, performance and compliance data into meaningful oversight to support informed decision-making.

What you will do

- lead a high-performing team and build its skills, confidence and ability to deliver
- lead enterprise risk and resilience work, with strong governance and clear improvement
- give trusted advice on key risks, readiness and resilience to senior leaders and committees
- oversee major risks, emerging issues and business continuity across the department
- lead emergency planning and build stronger readiness, recovery and resilience across critical services

About you





No mandatory qualification is listed for this role. Relevant tertiary or industry qualifications are desirable.

- strong experience leading risk and resilience work in complex organisations
- strong technical expertise in enterprise risk, resilience and governance, including relevant legal duties
- experience developing and improving business continuity and emergency plans and related governance
- strong critical thinking, problem-solving and project delivery skills across complex work
- the ability to build trusted relationships, lead people and adapt when priorities change
