About the Role

As a Dental Assistant/Receptionist in our thriving Townsville practice, you’ll play a key role in clinical treatment. You’ll confidently and expertly provide high quality clinical and administrative assistance to practice clinicians, as well as engage with patients in a positive and professional way. Your energetic nature and strong organisational skills will help to ensure the ongoing success of the practice and the satisfaction of patients.

The role includes dental assisting, sterilisation and reception/admin duties – all-rounder position within the dental clinic.

Key responsibilities include:

- Assisting Dentists and Oral Health Therapists during patient examinations and procedures
- Preparing, cleaning and sterilising dental instruments and equipment
- Maintaining a high level of infection control at all times
- Providing exceptional customer service and patient care
- Scheduling and coordinating patient appointments
- Managing incoming and outgoing phone calls




- Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation
- Organising laboratory work and supporting clinical workflows
- General reception and administration duties
- Ensuring the practice remains clean, organised and welcoming for patients

Skills & Experience

You have:

- No qualifications necessary but will be highly considered
- Sound computer literacy skills with proficiency in the MS Office suite
- Previous experience using Dental 4 Windows (D4W) - desirable
- Availability to work between Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 5:30pm, with participation in a rotating weekend roster
