About the Role
We're looking for a motivated and caring Dental Assistant / Receptionist to join our team. You will be supported by our amazing close knit team, as we work together to achieve our goal of providing quality patient care.
In this role you will be:
- Chairside assisting and supporting during dentist treatments on occasion
- Working with the Sterilisation team to ensure instruments are sterilised, packaged, and ready for use in line with strict infection control protocols on occasion
- Taking and processing X-rays where licensed to do so on occasion
- Documenting treatment notes and assisting with laboratory communication on occasion
- Supporting the clinical team with day-to-day coordination to ensure a smooth, positive patient experience
- Problem-solving and taking initiative
- Ensuring every patient feels comfortable and at ease throughout their visit
- Providing post-operative care instructions and supporting patients following treatment
- Greeting patients warmly and professionally and handing patient enquiries via phone, email, and in person
- Managing bookings, enquiries, and daily schedules
- Processing payments, HICAPS, Medicare and patient communication
- Preparing and setting up surgeries before and after appointments on occasion
About You
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Certificate III Dental Assisting (not essential)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and accurately
- Commitment to providing a warm, high-quality, patient-centred care
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Reliability and a genuine passion for the industry
