Role Description This is a part-time, in office Dermal Therapist role based in Canberra.

The Dermal

Therapist will perform skin assessments, recommend appropriate treatment plans, and deliver dermal therapies such as facials, peels, and other non-invasive skin treatments according to clinic protocols. Daily responsibilities include preparing treatment rooms, maintaining hygiene and safety standards, documenting client progress, and providing clear aftercare guidance. The role involves educating clients on skincare, recommending suitable products, and working closely with other health and wellness professionals to ensure integrated care.

The Dermal

Therapist will also support appointment scheduling, contribute to client retention initiatives, and uphold a professional, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

- Relevant qualification in dermal therapy, beauty therapy,



or a related field, with current certification or registration as required by local regulations.
- Demonstrated experience in performing dermal treatments (e.g., facials, peels, basic laser or light-based therapies) and conducting thorough skin consultations.
- Strong knowledge of skin anatomy, common skin conditions, and evidence-based treatment options, including familiarity with professional skincare products.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain procedures, risks, and aftercare clearly to a diverse client base.
- Commitment to infection control, hygiene, and safety standards, including proper use and cleaning of equipment and treatment areas.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health and wellness team and to contribute to a respectful, inclusive workplace.
- Strong organizational skills, punctuality, and reliability, with the ability to manage appointment schedules and maintain accurate client records.
- Comfort with basic digital tools for booking, documentation, and client communication; prior experience in a clinic or spa environment is an advantage.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development in dermal therapies and client care.
