Fitta Diesel Services PTY LTD' is seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Yatala, Queensland. As a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair of Heavy Road transport vehicles. This is a casual position with 3 months probation, with us then offering a full time role.

What you'll be doing

- Conducting diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on diesel engines and related components
- Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Performing scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance tasks
- Ensuring all work is carried out to the highest standards and in compliance with safety regulations
- Maintaining detailed records of work completed and parts used
- Providing technical advice and support to customers as required

What we're looking for

- Extensive experience as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, with a proven track record of successfully maintaining and repairing on road transport equipment.




- Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and rectify complex issues
- Proficient in the use of a range of tools, equipment and diagnostic software
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality work
- A holder of a valid HR driver's licence or willing to obtain prior to employment
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
