About the Role: Experience is preferred but not essential — for the right candidate, we offer a fast-tracked pathway from casual to permanent part-time employment. Brighter Access is currently looking for enthusiastic and compassionate Support Workers to join our team in the Charlestown, Newcastle areas. In this role, you will provide high-quality care to participants with a range of support needs.

Your responsibilities will include personal care, domestic assistance, and behaviour support, all while helping to create a positive, safe, and empowering environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist with personal care tasks, including showering, hoisting, toileting, and continence aids.
- Provide behaviour support in alignment with participant needs and individual plans.
- Help with meal planning and preparation to ensure dietary requirements are met.
- Assist with domestic duties and ensure a clean, safe environment.
- Support the participant in achieving their goals,



promoting independence where possible.

Skills and Experience:

- Previous experience in personal care and domestic assistance is essential.
- Experience in behaviour support is preferred.
- A passion for helping others and making a positive difference in the lives of people with disabilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Prior experience with medication administration and hoisting is highly regarded.

- NDIS worker screening clearance (or willing to apply)
- Working with Children Clearance (or willing to apply)
- Current First Aid
- Drivers Licence and reliable Insured & registered vehicle
