A&S; Dog Grooming is an established and trusted North Brisbane grooming salon serving the local community since 2011. We are known for calm, comfort-focused grooming and always putting each dog’s wellbeing first.

We are looking for a reliable and caring Dog Groomer or Grooming Assistant to join our friendly team on a part-time basis. The position can be tailored to suit your experience—from an assistant confident with bathing and drying through to an experienced groomer able to complete dogs independently.

About the role

Depending on your experience, your duties may include:

- Bathing, drying, brushing and de-shedding dogs
- Nail trimming, hygiene trims and coat preparation
- Clipping, scissoring and completing full grooms
- Following client instructions while prioritising each dog’s comfort and welfare
- Handling puppies, senior dogs and anxious dogs calmly and safely
- Keeping grooming areas, equipment and the salon clean and organised
- Supporting other team members during busy periods
- Communicating professionally with clients when required

- Are patient, gentle and confident around dogs

- Are reliable, punctual and comfortable working as part of a team
- Can recognise signs of stress and adjust your handling accordingly




- Can work efficiently without compromising a dog’s wellbeing
- Have grooming or salon experience—preferred but the level of experience can vary depending on the position
- Have the physical ability to safely handle dogs and perform grooming duties throughout the day

Applicants who can independently complete full grooms should provide photos or a portfolio of their recent work.

Hours and pay

- Part time position
- Weekday shifts during our normal Monday–Friday operating hours
- Exact days and weekly hours can be discussed
- $27–$40 per hour plus super, based on skills, experience and applicable classification
- Opportunity for additional hours as the business grows
