About the role The Evolved Canine is seeking a passionate, driven, and committed Dog Trainer/ Academy Attendant to join their growing team. This role is perfect for someone who lives and breathes dogs, thrives on continual learning, and is proud to be part of the evolving dog training world. Academy was the missing piece within the Dog Training Community offering a Full Day Training Program to help support and move goal posts for the pups within our Training Programs.

Each day these lucky dogs train and socialise beside their best buds - continually progressing their training goals.

The Evolved

Canine uses a Positive First Approach and works within the Balanced Training System meaning we utilise structure tools and rest breaks for the dogs throughout the day!

Key responsibilities

? Deliver quality results for every session for every dog continually moving their goal post each day.

? Physically capable of handling a range of breeds including larger, high energy / boisterous breeds, levels of motivation, temperaments, and behavioural issues both in groups and individually

? Understands and follows dog’s body language and cues including individually and in a social setting through play.

? Communicate professionally with clients in person and throughout electronic communication and has the ability to talk through more complex behaviours - with the guidance of our training team.

? Work both independently and as part of a close-knit team

? Maintain high levels of cleanliness in both the facility and whilst caring for the dogs.

About you





- Qualifications within the Animal Care and/in Dog Training and Behaviour is preferred but not essential.
- An understanding and following of The Evolved Canine and what the team has achieved !
- A sound understanding of canine behaviour, learning theory and training tools, we offer on the job training however experience for this role is essential
- Confidence and a positive approach to physically handling a range of different dogs, levels of motivation, temperaments including dogs with behavioural issues
- A professional and upbeat approach with both clients and dogs
- Strong work ethic and take pride in delivering quality results including availability Monday - Friday with the occasional late night and weekend work for special events.
- Committed to growth, both personal and qualified, and actively seek to expand your knowledge through seminars, courses, and hands-on experience
- Reliable, coachable, with a thirst for knowledge which includes enjoying working both independently and as part of a close-knit team
