What are we looking for?A rare opportunity has arisen for a Draftsperson to join our team in Toowoomba. Candidates of all experience levels are encouraged to apply! In this exciting position, supported by the Engineering team, you will assist with the creation and modification of electrical engineering designs and shop drawings for service-based projects. Additional duties will include, but not limited to:
- Produce detailed drawings ranging from concept sketches to construction issue documentation.
- Complete detailed 3D designs utilising the latest CAD / Revit programs in line with project requirements.
- Coordinating designs within multi-disciplinary projects including clash detection,
reporting and resolution.
- Interpreting markups for as-built drawing updates.
- Ensuring all deliverables are in accordance with codes and standards as provided by engineers or designers.
- Liaising with stakeholders in relation to the specifics of the drawings.
- Revising drawings, generating transmittals and issuing documents to project management platforms.
- Document control for design projects.
- Supporting the generation and submission of design reports and schedules.
- General project support.
About you? The successful applicant will have a 'can do' attitude and be able to demonstrate the following:
- Previous experience using CAD software such as AutoCAD.
- Previous experience using AutoCAD Electrical is advantages, but not essential.
- Previous experience with BIM modelling in Revit is advantages, but not essential.
- Familiarity with BIM standards and coordination practices.
- Ability to interpret engineering and architectural drawings.
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Excellent administration skills with willingness to learn.
- Ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
- Well-developed problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and innovatively.
