About the role

Be the friendly face of Activus while providing safe, reliable and respectful transport for our customers. You’ll assist customers with getting safely in and out of vehicles, including those using walkers, wheelchairs and other mobility aids, while ensuring each journey is comfortable, punctual and stress-free.

Key responsibilities

- Provide safe, reliable and respectful transport for Activus customers

- Assist customers to safely enter and exit vehicles, including those using walkers, wheelchairs or other mobility aids

- Complete scheduled runs efficiently and follow allocated routes and instructions

- Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and promptly report faults, damage or safety concerns

- Ensure wheelchairs, mobility aids and customer belongings are correctly secured

- Maintain a clean, safe and presentable vehicle

- Communicate effectively with customer services, scheduling staff and transport assistants throughout the day

- Accurately complete required trip,



vehicle and incident documentation

- Report accidents, incidents, customer concerns or changes in a customer's wellbeing promptly

- Comply with Activus policies, WHS requirements, road rules and relevant transport regulations

About you

- Current unrestricted NSW Driver Licence with a good driving record

- Solid safety focus

- Excellent reliability and punctuality

- Good communication and customer service skills

- Ability to assist customers with mobility needs

- Ability to use basic technology/apps required for the role

- Willingness to complete all mandatory training and compliance requirements

- Bus Driver Authority or willingness/eligibility to obtain one (highly preferred)

- Experience driving buses or larger passenger vehicles (highly preferred)

- Experience working with older people or people living with disability (highly preferred)
