Duty (Hotel) Manager

Salary: AUD $75000-$85000

Tom Price Hotel is looking for a friendly, skilled, and customer-oriented Hotel Duty Manager. As the duty manager, you will make sure that customers and visitors feel welcome and are well looked after. Your role will include overseeing employee schedules, front office staff training and perform the reconciling of receipts and other hotel functions.

Main Responsibilities and Duties:

- Directing all processes of the business (Reception, Bar, Tab, Restaurant, function hall) by monitoring general operations.
- Taking initiative in ensuring that customers are satisfied and employee interactions with customers are positive, making sure all guests receive a higher quality of service.
- Dealing with customers complains and other problems, resolving conflicts and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Meeting regularly with upper management to stay up to date with organisational changes, issues and improvements and communication these to other staff members.
- Making sure that the hotel meets health, safety and security regulations and licencing laws.
- Overseeing financial activities in control of cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures, dealing with purchase activities and suppliers, ensuring all in accordance with hotel policies and procedures.
- Supporting, training, and supervising front office staff.
- Scheduling staff shifts and managing other HR-related tasks.
- Maintaining an orderly appearance throughout the reception area.
- Monitoring stock and ordering office supplies, including stationery and information leaflets.
- Management, direction and overseeing reservations,



reception, room service and other hotel functions.
- Preparing monthly management reports on customer feedback, bookings, and cancellations.
- Managing the departmental budget.
- Updating files and records.

Relevant Qualifications and employment experience: · The suitable candidate must have the equivalent of at least an Australian Diploma in Hospitality or Management or similar.

· The suitable candidate must also have at least 2 years of relevant employment experience working in a similar role.

Desirable Qualifications and Skills:

- Diploma Level Qualifications or at least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications plus management experiences.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in similar capacity.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to multi-task.
- Excellent ability in Leadership, interpersonal skills, business-minded attitude.
- Demonstrable aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Outstanding leadership skills and a great attention to detail.
- Have a desire to work as part of a dynamic leadership team, focused on product excellence, customer satisfaction, high staff moral and profitability.
- Display good interpersonal skills when interacting with both guests and employees.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment.
- Understand and respect the policies and procedure that assist in successfully running the business.
- To develop and enhance the image and reputation of the Tom Price Hotel Motel.
- Experience in similar capacity.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
