Applications are invited for a Certificate III Qualified Early Childhood Educator to join the team in a 12-month Maternity Relief role.

Applicants for this position will hold a Cert III Early Childhood Education & Care (0-5 years) and will have solid interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team.

Child Safety Requirement

Leeton Early Learning Centre is committed to child safety, wellbeing, participation and the empowerment of all children in its care. Therefore, appropriate rigorous reference and background checking will be undertaken, including a working with children’s check, Police record and identity check. Leeton Shire Council only hire educators who we assess as being secure and suitable for the position.

The primary purpose of the position:

- Provide active supervision, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the children.
- Assist with the development, implementation and evaluation of activity programs which promote optimum development in the areas of social, emotional,



cognitive and physical growth as well as the health, welfare and educational needs of the individual child.

Duties of the role are detailed in the Operations section of the attached Position Description. Salary and Conditions: The position will attract an hourly rate of pay of $30.97 to $36.14 per hour depending on qualifications and experience. 12% Superannuation is applicable to this position.

The position is 76 hours per fortnight(Part-time/Job share may be considered).

Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award.

Prior to commencement the successful applicant will be required to undergo a Functional Assessment which includes an Alcohol & Other Drug screening. It is also a requirement, on commencement, to provide evidence of being Covid-19 vaccinated*.*
