Position: Room Leader (Responsible Person)

Status: Full-time fixed term position until 9/11/2026

Hourly rate: $43.77(inclusive of all allowances/loadings + Worker Retention Payment), plus super

Qualifications: Diploma in early childhood/ACECQA approved

Room/Age group: 2-5 years old

One Tree Kununurra Community Childcare and Education Centre is a brand-new childcare centre and will be working alongside with our Woothoo-woothoong Ninggoowoong Dawang Children's Service next door. Selection criteria

- Minimum one (1) year's experience in a room leader role or above
- Experience in working in a remote community
- Strong knowledge of child development and theories relating to children's learning




- Communication skills and ability to lead a team
- Evidence of having contributed to assessment and rating at meeting or exceeding level
- Develop and evaluate high quality programs for children in line with recognised frameworks
- Ability to advocate for children's rights and role model positive relationships with children

Requirements

- Eligible to work in Australia and willing to relocate to Kununurra
- Diploma in Early Childhood/ACECQA approved equivalent
- Current WA Working with Children Check
- Current National Police Clearance
- Current First Aid and CPR
