About the role
You will lead the educational program in one of our rooms, working alongside a small, supportive team of educators. You will plan, implement and evaluate an educational program aligned with the EYLF V2.0 and the National Quality Standard, maintain learning documentation, observations and children's portfolios, lead and mentor educators in the room, supporting their planning cycle practice, build genuine, respectful partnerships with families, contribute to our Quality Improvement Plan and self-assessment, and support implementation of the Child Safe Standards and all service policies and procedures.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the educational program in one of our rooms
- Plan, implement and evaluate an educational program aligned with the EYLF V2.0 and the National Quality Standard
- Maintain learning documentation, observations and children's portfolios
- Lead and mentor educators in the room, supporting their planning cycle practice
- Build genuine, respectful partnerships with families
- Contribute to our Quality Improvement Plan and self-assessment
- Support implementation of the Child Safe Standards and all service policies and procedures
About you
- ACECQA-approved four-year Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or equivalent early childhood teaching qualification
- Current NESA teacher accreditation (Provisional, Conditional or Proficient)
- Current NSW Working with Children Check clearance
- Current HLTAID012 first aid, CPR, asthma and anaphylaxis certification
- Current Child Protection Awareness training
- Knowledge of the National Quality Framework, National Law and Regulations, and EYLF V2.0
- Solid written documentation skills and the ability to lead a room team
- Experience as a Room Leader or Educational Leader (desirable)
- Experience preparing a service for Assessment and Rating (desirable)
- Familiarity with OWNA or similar childcare management software (desirable)
