We are currently recruiting for multiple Childcare Traineeship positions across the Sydney metropolitan area.
This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn, gain practical workplace experience and complete the nationally recognised CHC30125 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
No previous childcare experience is required. We are looking for motivated, caring and enthusiastic people with a positive attitude, a genuine interest in working with children, and a willingness to learn and grow.
Your training will be delivered by Charter Australia, a highly regarded Registered Training Organisation (RTO) with a strong reputation for quality training, student support and industry-focused education.
Get Paid to Learn
- Earn while you learn – you are employed and paid a wage while completing your traineeship.
- On-the-job training – gain practical experience in a real early childhood education and care service while completing your qualification.
- Fee-free training for eligible trainees – eligible new entrant trainees may have their Certificate III training fully funded under the NSW Government's Smart and Skilled traineeship arrangements.
- Government incentive payments may be available – eligible trainees in priority occupations may qualify for Australian Government incentive payments during their traineeship.
- Paid study and training time in accordance with applicable traineeship and employment arrangements.
About the Role
As a childcare trainee, you will work alongside experienced educators while completing your Certificate III qualification.
Your responsibilities may include
- Supporting children's learning, play and development
- Assisting educators with daily routines and activities
- Helping provide a safe, caring and engaging setting for children
- Building positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
- Participating in workplace training and assessment
- Completing the study and assessment requirements of your traineeship
Full-time and part-time traineeship opportunities may be available, depending on employer requirements and individual placements.
What We Are Looking For
Applicants should
- Have a genuine interest in working with children
- Be caring, patient and responsible
- Be reliable, punctual and motivated
- Have good communication and teamwork skills
- Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Be committed to completing the Certificate III traineeship
- Hold a current Working With Children Check, or be willing to obtain one before commencement
- Hold a current police check, or be willing to obtain one before commencement
- Hold First Aid/CPR qualifications, or be willing to obtain them where required
- Be available to work rostered shifts, which may fall between approximately 7:00 am and 6:00 pm, depending on the childcare service
Eligibility
- are 15 years of age or older
- are no longer at school
- live or work in NSW (with some exceptions for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living in specified NSW border areas)
- are an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, humanitarian visa holder, or New Zealand citizen
