As a world leading library, the National Library of Australia offers an innovative and collaborative workplace where exceptional team players and technical specialists can flourish. As part of the Library’s team, you will help support organisational reform, working collaboratively with your team to shape the Library’s future.
The Library is seeking to fill a ongoing Executive Level 1 Assistant Director, Business Management and Reporting role in the Trove Data and Platforms Section of the Collaboration Branch.
In this role, you'll coordinate business planning and reporting activities, oversee partner usage reporting, maintain the Trove Dashboard, and manage requests for system enhancements and improvements. You'll work closely with stakeholders across the branch to ensure priorities are well managed and delivered in a timely manner, helping to deliver reliable services and high-quality outcomes.
As part of a small team, you will support both internal and external users, including responding to enquiries about the Trove Dashboard, the Digitisation Management System, Rapido and the Reshare national resource sharing platform. You'll oversee support and incident management processes using JIRA, coordinate user acceptance testing, and ensure requests are prioritised and managed effectively.
A key part of the role is managing relationships with technology vendors and service providers. As the primary contact for key contracts, you'll work with suppliers and stakeholders to resolve issues, identify opportunities for improvement and ensure services continue to meet business needs.
You will be a robust communicator who provides leadership and support to your team through coaching, performance management, professional development and change leadership. Building strong relationships, fostering collaboration and creating a positive team culture will be central to your success. This is a diverse and rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys leading people, improving services, solving problems and delivering practical business outcomes.
If you're looking for a role where you can make a meaningful impact while working with a broad range of stakeholders and systems, we'd love to hear from you.
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, coordinate multiple activities and deliver high-quality outcomes.
- The ability to build and maintain productive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including business teams, external partners and technology vendors.
