About Brightwood Electrical

Brightwood Electrical is a growing commercial electrical contractor delivering service, maintenance, minor works and larger project solutions across Sydney. As part of the Brightwood Group, we work with a strong portfolio of commercial clients across property, facilities management, education, industrial and retail environments.

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Service Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day operation and continued growth of our electrical service division.

The Role

This is an office-based leadership role responsible for running our electrical service team and ensuring smaller works are delivered quickly, professionally and to a high standard. You will manage electricians and apprentices in the field, coordinate scheduling and workflow, communicate directly with clients and take ownership of service and minor works jobs up to approximately $5,000.

A major part of the role is customer service. We want our clients to know they can call Brightwood, get a fast response, receive clear communication and have their works completed without unnecessary delays.

You will play an important role in growing the business by delivering an exceptional level of service, building robust client relationships and ensuring opportunities identified in the field are followed through.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the daily scheduling and allocation of electricians and apprentices
- Coordinate reactive service calls, planned maintenance and minor works
- Manage service and minor works jobs up to approximately $5,000 from request through to completion
- Keep technicians productive, organised and accountable
- Manage job priorities, urgent callouts and changing client requirements




- Ensure fast turnaround on smaller jobs and service requests
- Maintain regular and professional communication with clients
- Review technician job notes, photos, reports and recommendations
- Ensure quotes, approvals, materials and scheduling are followed through promptly
- Prepare and manage smaller quotations and variations
- Identify and follow up additional works and opportunities generated from site
- Monitor open jobs and ensure nothing is left unattended
- Track labour, materials and job profitability
- Ensure completed jobs are properly closed out and ready for invoicing
- Provide technical guidance and support to technicians where required
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, presentation and customer service
- Build strong relationships with existing clients and help grow the amount of work Brightwood performs for them
- Work closely with estimating, projects and management where works fall outside the service division

Skills & Experience

- Previous experience in electrical service, maintenance or operations
- Experience managing or coordinating electricians and field technicians
- Strong understanding of commercial electrical service and maintenance
- Current NSW Electrical Licence highly regarded
- Strong fault-finding and technical electrical knowledge
- Excellent scheduling,



organisation and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple live jobs and changing priorities
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Commercial understanding of labour, materials and job profitability
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Experience with job management systems, particularly Simpro, would be advantageous
- Current Australian Driver Licence
- Full Australian working rights
